Kora
Royalty recovery and rights administration for artists whose work earns most of its money outside the continent it came from.
The problem
African catalogues earn most of their money outside the continent they came from, then lose it in collection gaps, rights administration, and territories nobody is watching closely enough. The work is documents, societies, and splits — not a playlist.
Joel Houenou knows the labels and managers. He is the CEO. Midwest holds studio equity and builds the platform.
Scorecard
Caveat: Africa is about 0.6% of global collections. This only works as a global-catalogue play for African rightsholders, not an Africa-domestic one.
